What is a Fan Stone project?

Fan Stones are fan-personalised stones laid in locations around sports stadiums, to create attractive spaces for fans, allowing them and their loved ones to become part of the fabric of their club.

Clubs choose an area of their grounds to utilise for Fan Stones, and we design a layout mixing in different sizes and types of personalised stones, with ‘Legend’ stones featuring key club players or events, Sponsor & Partner stones, and a range of design features to suit each clubs needs.

Fans then choose their stone, and their personalised message (they are often used as memorials) and complete their purchase online.

It’s typical for the promotional/sales phase of a scheme to last for up to 12 months, to allow sufficient stones to be purchased to enable installation to proceed. Typically installations are broken up into sections, each section installed as it sells out, with the next stage opened automatically, giving everyone the reassurance of an ongoing, supported scheme running for many years.

Fan Stones (a trading name of ‘Hardscape Surfaces’) work with sports clubs across the UK to deliver Fan Stone projects (paving, walling and cladding) that enhance the stadium and surrounding areas, in a way that benefits the club, the fans and the community.

We combine a range of materials and manufacturing techniques with in-house design, ecommerce, marketing, customer service management, installation and maintenance, to provide a one-stop shop for clubs who are looking to add to their Fan Engagement activities with minimal impact on their internal resources.

Recognised Expertise

This site features online stores for many clubs (giving reassurance to your fans that we are an established leading provider in Fan Stone schemes), but also links to other websites for clubs that require a more substantial online presence for their scheme, or directs fans to clubs own existing ecommerce when required. We also support clubs running Fan Stone schemes without an ecommerce presence.

We have Fan Stone schemes active at Birmingham City, West Ham United, Blackburn Rovers, Glasgow Rangers, Bolton Wanderers, Hibernian, Sale Sharks, Northampton Town, Chadderton, Doncaster, MK Dons, Oldham RFLC, with new clubs being added regularly, plus of course completed schemes at more clubs across the UK.
